Anita has over 20 years of teaching music in the classroom (middle, high school, and university) and privately, to students from all walks of life. Her ability to engage students has led them to practice hard to win competitions at the local and state level, receive high honors on their music exams, and even achieve their goals of studying music in college. She is certified to teach for such well-known exams as Certificate of Merit, and exams from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and The Royal Conservatory of Music.

In addition to flute technique, Anita incorporates and applies music theory, history, ear-training, and improvisation to students’ weekly lessons. She had her beginnings as a volunteer music instructor for the Chicago All-City Band, teaching underserved youth flute. Since then, she has developed a comprehensive and structured curriculum that is enjoyable, let alone educational.
